CUi Japan Co., Ltd. has announced the addition of a waterproof Micro USB 2.0 connector to its USB product family. The UJ2W-MIBH-4-SMT is a micro B-type jack connector with an IPX7 protection rating, designed to protect against liquids and moisture in harsh environments.
With copper alloy contact terminals that are nickel-plated and gold-plated with 30 microinches (µin) on a stainless steel shield, the UJ2W-MIBH-4-SMT is designed for excellent durability with 10,000 mating cycles. This series features a surface mount package and horizontal type with a voltage rating of 30 Vac, a current rating of 1.8 A, and an operating temperature range of -25 to 85°C. To enhance stability on the board, it also includes plastic mounting ears.
This micro B USB connector, compliant with the USB 2.0 standard, enables high-speed data transfer and power delivery, making it ideal for various I/O applications in outdoor appliances and portable electronic devices such as mobile computing equipment, digital audio devices, camcorders, and GPS units.
